I photographed and met Gugu in March 2018. I documented her portrait for her feature in Destiny magazines’ Young Business Minds section with an article titled Mentoring Future Leaders. We did hair and makeup as well as the shoot at her offices in Cape Town.
This is Yvonne Dyum
I met and photographed Yvonne in August 2017 at the Middelvlei Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. I was on assignment for Destiny magazine who were doing a feature on her in their Young Business Minds section.
There had been a spate of inspiring online celebrations of young graduates succeeding despite economic and social woes that threatened to derail their success. Destiny interviewed four women (Yvonne being one of them) who were pursuing ambitious careers despite less than favourable starts.
Yvonne had recently graduated from Stellenbosch University with her medical degree and is now serving her two-year internship at the Uitenhage Provincial Hospital.
