(Please note: This is the “archive” of the collection of shoot props (generally lingerie/womens attire somehow) that I have gathered over the last 11 years of my career.
They are catalogued by number, and description for now as well as any other relevant information about their individual histories- how I came to have the items, what shoots they might have been used for, etc.
The style in which I document an item may vary according to the type of garment/object it is).

#48 – Panties
Plum coloured, lace, boyleg panties. I didn’t expect these to look so pretty when shot, but they do. They are La Senza brooks which were gifted to the collection a few years back and have not been shot with yet. I like the slit and bow details on the front mid thighs.

#49 – Panties
Black, opaque and mesh high waisted panties. I bought these goodies at Woolworths in 2013 for the Miss July Playboy Playmate photoshoot which took place (last minute) in my Woodstock studio. The knickers are a really nice cut and design.

#50 – Panties
Black lace and mesh, side tying thong. I reckon I must have come across these at a Chinese supermarket at some stage. They are so flimsy and badly made its actually impressive.

#45 – Panties
La Senza, size medium, black & pink floral printed, high waisted knickers with frill and suspender detail. I was thrilled to buy these. They were a sale item at La Senza’s factory shop about 9 years ago and are such a great design by this brand. They remind me of some of Ellen Von Unwerth’s earlier B&W work.
The ruffles are reminiscent of 40’s designs and the suspender clips are detachable.

#46 – Panties
Acid green/yellow lace knickers with back lace-up detail. These were amongst a batch of undies, all from La Senza, that a friend decided to inherit to the collection after she broke up with her partner.

#47 – Panties
Size small, white, mesh and lace knickers. I bought these on a scouting mission for a Playboy photoshoot a few years ago. It was, I think, the Miss July Playmate story which was shot in studio very last minute. The knickers were never used in the shoot at the end but they’re still hanging around, brand new…

#21 – Panties
Mr. Price, neon yellow, stretch lace, g-string, medium. I bought these in a three-pack (yellow, pink, orange) at Mr.Price one day just because their lumo multiplicity was so brilliant, it was screaming “shoot!”. I used them on one Playboy shoot in 2013.

#22 – Panties
Black stretch-mesh thong with fuchsia pink edging, butterfly- detailing and adjustable side ribbons. These were a gift from my school-time boyfriend after we broke up and he had returned from Thailand. They went into the collection, being used once only for a student time exhibition series for which one of my class mates posed for.

#23 – Panties
Black, small, La Senza, thong with removable suspender belt clips, satin bows and black feather trim. A good ol’ La Senza sale buy most likely from the time when they had that factory shop in Access Park in Kenilworth. I used these in a shoot where I distinctly remember the client or model saying that she felt like an ostrich when wearing them…

#24 – Panties
Size medium, cotton, Pep Store brooks. Boy-leg cut with pink, taupe & turquoise dot print and grey lace detail. I have a bit of quirk about buying strange items, especially underwear, in unusual spots; either on pumping African markets or in small town super market chains, which is how this pair came to the collection. I bought these in Pep in Lüderitz, Namibia in 2012 on route to a mini-rock concert in the desert.

#19 – Panties
Red, size medium, synthetic, high waisted panties with red lace and stitching details. A Cape Town “Golden Acre” find about 9 years ago, these are probably in my top 10 of favourite panties in my collection. They’ve been used quite a few times in shoots in the past, but I still, they haven’t yet been done justice. They have pockets (!) and the most fantastic retro stitching lines, reminiscent of tummy-holding-in brooks and body-shaping underwear of the 50’s.

#19 – Panties
100% cotton, size small, red Woolworths panties with white and black flower print in bikini cut. I wish South African underwear retailers would produce more underwear in this cut. I found these on sale at Woolies in Canal Walk about 5 years ago and bought them just because they’re the kind of knickers I’ve looked for in the past for shoots but couldn’t find. They were part of a three pack and so the the other two pairs (without a print design) are useful options to have. They’re kind of like the ultimate cotton knickers for their genre.

#20 – Panties
Mauve, Women’s secret, mesh, bikini-cut panties with lace details and cut-out. Size small. These are super pretty and never got worn or used for the Playboy “Miss July” Playmate shoot I bought them for in 2013. I had a limited budget and even more limited time to source for the shoot and found some amazing items on sale at Women’s Secret (which has sadly now closed its doors it seems).
