An Accidental Photograph of Pregnant Heidi

I met beautiful Norwegian Heidi a short while back through a mutual friend and we spent a weekend away together with friends in Franschoek.
It was a stunning weekend of swimming, chilled rose wines, cooking, kids and laughter. My partner had his Go-Pro camera with him, which I’ve not really experimented with yet (why I don’t know?). But we had some crazy fun in the pool….

And I shot this magical photo of Heidi, then 6 months pregnant, surrounded by fantastic bubbles and incredible light.
The nature of underwater images is so inspiring, totally foetal and great for pregnancy portraits (if you have the right pool and light that is). I can’t wait to do more now since having this experience.

I will definitely be playing around more with underwater snaps in the future.

Subsequently I had the image printed on archival Hahnemulle paper for Heidi and her partner. Wishing her the best for the rest of her pregnancy and birth! Inspired!
